This Giving Tuesday, change a child's life

Giving Tuesday (December 1!) is our biggest giving opportunity of the year. Every year, our team in Haiti is amazed by your generous partnership, which provides tangible support for the most pressing needs of the people around them. 

This year, our team in Haiti is focusing their efforts on the children they serve. Through our established church/school network and the Children’s Home, GVCM is uniquely positioned to make the most impact in these children’s lives.

The Children’s Home staff has been faithfully caring for vulnerable children, from toddlers to young adults, many of whom have lost parents to earthquakes, trafficking, or abandonment.

Many of the churches in GVCM’s network run a Christian school during the week inside the church building. Escalating gang violence has made continuing an education a risk many students can no longer take, but schools like these keep the hope of a better future alive.

Our team is also hoping to reopen the Mirebalais school. Once one of our largest schools, it was forced to close due to violence in the area. But families there have been asking for it to reopen, and our team is committed to keeping their hope alive: rebuilding a staff, many of whom left the area, and ensuring students’ safety.

A small investment here yields a large impact down the road, both for the students who walk back through those doors and for the next generation of Haitians GVCM has been investing in for 26 years.
